EMIRATES Airlines said it will launch its second daily service to Shanghai from Dubai starting on February 1, increasing its service between two cities to two direct flights every day.

The airline will use Airbus A340-300s with 267 seats and Airbus A330-200s for the new service. Emirates launched its first flight to Shanghai in April 2004 and has an average occupancy above 90 percent at present. It currently uses Boeing 777-300ERs for its daily flight between Shanghai and Dubai.
