Macao logged 732,329 mobile phone users and 177,945 fixed phone users at the end of September, seeing respectively year-on-year rise of 19 percent and 1 percent, according to official statistics issued on Thursday.

The figures released by the government-run Statistics and Census Services (SCS) showed that the coverage percentage of Macao 's cell-phone has reached 130 percent.

The number of Macao's Internet users and the total on-line hours stood at 117,129 and 127 million at the end of September, seeing respectively year-on-year increase of 14 percent and 47 percent, the figures indicated.

The region has a population of 528,000.
