BOC Aviation, Bank of China's aviation leasing unit, said yesterday it signed a contract to lease two Boeing 777-300ERs to Air Canada, according to today's China Securities Journal.
The planes are scheduled for delivery ?C one in March and one in April ?C with a lease term of 12 years, said BOC Aviation.
"The contract will boost BOC Aviation's wide-body aircraft fleet as well as its market presence in North America," said Steven Townend, chief commercial officer of the company.
The Singapore-based BOC Aviation has more than 79 aircraft in service, and another 62 aircraft on firm orders for delivery through 2013.
The leasing division has bought 12 Boeing 777 aircraft since its launch in 1993.
