ASIANA Airlines, South Korea's second-largest carrier, will trim services to China because of soaring fuel costs. The airline will cut flights to five Chinese cities this month and stop operating its Chongqing route, it said in an e-mailed statement yesterday.

However, the Seoul-based carrier will increase operations to the Philippines and Japan.
