China Mobile, the world's largest wireless carrier by user, has signed a framework agreement with China's official Xinhua news agency to establish a search engine company, Xinhua reported on Thursday.

The joint venture would compete against other search giants, such as Baidu.com and Google in China's rapidly growing search engine market.
