Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 31) - The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has issued a report summarizing the total number of Chinese recalls in the first half of the year, the Beijing Evening News reported today. 14 of the 672,989 recalls were targeted at domestically made vehicles (affecting 628,487 vehicles), while 22 were for imports (44,502 vehicles).
Toyota brands, including the Guangqi Toyota Camry, Tianjin FAW Toyota Reiz (pictured) and imported models, were among the most recalled vehicles.
The AQSIQ inspected 4,815 products from over 4,400 different enterprises and from across 48 different industries so far in the year, with less than 10 percent of those failing to pass inspection.
