Targetting to tap more alternative energy source, PetroChina plans to add 1.1 mln tons of biofuels production capacity and import 470,000 tons of this fuels by 2015, as per Reuters. Out of the total production capacity, fuel ethanol will be 933,000 tpa and biodiesel will be 165,000 tpa. Biofuel from countries such as Brazil will be mixed with regular fuels and sold to southern Chinese provinces.
