Smartphone vendor HTC will host a press event on July 27, 2010 in Beijing, China to introduce the HTC brand in China and announce its commitment to the Chinese market, according to a report from the Taiwan-based Economic Daily News (EDN).

Representatives from the country's three main telecom service providers - China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom - will be present at the event, where HTC is expected to officially forge alliances with the carriers, the Chinese-language report said.

In related news, on July 28 HTC will distribute cash dividends of NT$26 (US$0.81) per share and stock dividends of NT$0.5 per share.
