TEREX Corp, the world's third-largest engineering machinery manufacturer, signed an agreement yesterday to sell a crawler crane to China Nuclear Engineering & Construction (Group) Corp, the nation's top nuclear power construction company, the United States firm said in a statement.
The CC8800-1 Twin crawler crane is the most internationally advanced hoisting equipment, with a maximum lifting capacity of 3,200 tons ?? making it the world's largest mobile crane.
This super jumbo, costing more than 200 million yuan (US$28.2 million), will be first used at the Haiyang Nuclear Power Project site in Haiyang County, eastern Shandong Province. No more than 10 cranes with such a capacity are operating worldwide at present, Terex said yesterday.
