Lithium battery material, clothes and investment are the three main business of Ningbo Shanshan (600884.SH). Shanshan entered into the field of lithium battery cathode material in 1999. With 12 years development, it has become the largest lithium battery materials provider in China, of which products include lithium battery anode material, cathode material and electrolyte. Currently, Shanshan is actively expanding its business into upstream and downstream industries including mineral resources, new energy vehicle and dynamic battery.

In 2011H1, operating revenue of Shanshan reached RMB1.3 billion, up 5.84% YoY, where in lithium battery material contributed operating revenue of 46.2%.

Among three main business of Shanshan, anode material contributed the most operating revenue, whereas cathode material made the most net profit. The main reason for this is that Shanshan owns technological superiority in cathode material production and realizes mass production, which dramatically reduces cost and achieves profit maximization.
