November 18 – New Hope Group, parent of Sichuan New Hope Agribusiness (000876), launched a new overseas agricultural acquisition firm called New Hope Overseas Investment, reports caijing.com, citing foreign media. The new entity’s shareholders include Temasek Holdings, Mitsui & Co and Archer Daniels Midland.

New Hope Group plans to open eight overseas factories across Asia, the Middle East and Africa annually, the source said. Its factory in Egypt will be soon complete, and the company is browsing factory space in South Africa.
