Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) will set up 2,000 additional HSPA+ 42Mbps base stations in 2012, according to industry sources.

CHT has established 500 HSPA+ 42Mbps base stations, the sources said.

In addition, CHT plans to expand its Wi-Fi access point network by adding 1,000 Wi-Fi hot spots in 2012 to reach a total of 30,000 around Taiwan, the sources indicated.
