Agricultural Bank of China (SHA:601288, HKG:1288) announced that Jiang Chaoliang, 54, was elected as its executive director at its 2012 first extraordinary general meeting held on 16 January 2012 and as the chairman of the board of directors at the board meeting held on the same day.

The China Banking Regulatory Commission has approved the eligibility of Jiang to serve as the chairman of the board, effective from 16 January 2012.
