ZyXEL Communications, a vendor of broadband networking/communication devices/equipment, has won an open bid for supply of 360,000 units of VDSL2 CPE (customer premises equipment) and MSAN (multi-service access node) equipment for Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), with shipments beginning February, according to the company.

The Taiwan-based CHT will use the VDSL2 CPE for its FTTx network, while the MSAN equipment consists of 38,000 ports of VDSL2 and 170,000 ports for voice communication, ZyXEL indicated.
