Caterpillar, the largest heavy equipment manufacturer in the world, announced on Wednesday that it plans to invest USD20 million to enlarge its hydraulic cylinder plant based in Sumter, South Carolina to expand the production capacity to meet the increasing demand.

The project will nearly triple the size of the Sumter plant. The facility will be the main small and large hydraulic cylinder manufacturing base in North and South America.
