   Date:2012-03-21

Dangdang.com, a leading online purchase website of China, has posted a notice on its home page requiring its customers to modify the password of their accounts between March 19 and March 22 in order to keep their money in the accounts safe. During this period the gift cards and account balances would be frozen.

Dangdang.com also suggested customers to use the combination of numbers, uppercase and lowercase letters in the new password to make it safer.

Dangdang.com made this decision because recently account balance of nearly 100 customers was stolen. Dangdang.com also said this incident is caused by the data leakage of CSDN database.

According to a report on March 20, the case of CSDN data leakage has been solved and five criminal suspects have been arrested.
