Gasgoo.com (Shanghai November 25) - Dongfeng Nissan will be recalling over 3,607 of their X-trail and Qashqai SUVs next month, Xinhua reported, quoting an announcement from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. The recall will target vehicles produced in late 2010.

The recall is being issued due to a problem with the power steering. Over long periods of driving, the power steering may malfunction causing a severe safety risk. Dongfeng will supply free maintenance of all affected vehicles. The manufacturer has already contacted affected owners via mail, phone and other methods.
