September 7 – Dongfeng Automobile (600006) sold roughly 21,600 vehicles in August, down 6.21 percent, the first fall since October 2009, reports p5w.net, citing a company filing. It produced a total of 21,100 units during that period, also down 7.71 percent. All percentage changes cited in this story are year-on-year.

For the first eight months, the firm produced 217,000 cars, an increase of 14.09 percent. Sales volume during that period grew 10.15 percent to 212,000 units.
