CHINA Yangtze Power Co, operator of the world's largest hydropower project, said profit rose 47 percent last year on increased generation and investment income.
Net income climbed to 5.32 billion yuan (US$732 million), or 0.598 yuan a share, from 3.62 billion yuan, or 0.442 yuan a share, a year earlier, the Beijing-based company said in a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange yesterday.
Sales rose 26 percent to 8.7 billion yuan. The figures aren't audited.
